Needham is well known for playing a big part in the history of building Boston. When the Back Bay of Boston was being filled in back in the 1850’s, much of the landfill came from Needham. Eventually, many years later in the 1930’s it had experienced a surge in population and increased by 50%.

Today, thanks to its ideal location with easy access to Routes 128 and 90, shopping and services, it has continued to be a top pick for those looking for a solid town, great schools and accessible for most commutes. As times have progressed, many families are growing and have different needs in their homes. It is not uncommon to see many of the older, smaller homes being either renovated, added onto or in some cases knocked down and rebuilt with homes that are more suitable for today’s needs.
